Palawan
I haven’t blogged in a while, and I already feel kind of weird doing it (I don’t know why.)—but I just wanted to write about this trip I had with my family last sembreak. Palawan was beautiful, and I want to share that on the internet.
On our first day, we had a city tour of Puerto Princesa. On that day, I had this really good twenty five-peso buko shake that I wish Manila had.

Of course, we experienced the underground river. To get there, we had to undergo a 3-hour car ride and a 15-minute boat ride. Nonetheless, it was beautiful. After going through the tour, I was so thankful and at awe at God for making things like that.

Before entering the cave of the river, we had a chance to explore the island.

Group shot after the tour:

I have no words for the food in Palawan. From the ambience of the places we ate at to the food itself—I enjoyed every single meal I had there. Also, we got to try a Palawan delicacy! It’s called tamilok, and it’s a tree snail, I think..? It tasted like the sea. I kinda liked it, though.
There are great restaurants in Palawan. I mean, great.

We had a great time at the beach, too. We had a Honda Bay tour and went island hopping. I really enjoyed ~beach life~ a lot. I enjoyed buko juice straight from the buko, reggae sounds (reggae Beatles, in fact) playing, seeing AFAPs (A Foreigner Around Palawan) sunbathing on Philippine sand, snorkeling in the beautiful, beautiful reefs, seeing life underwater, talking with the Koreans who were with us for the tour, wearing tons of sunblock lotion, etc, etc. I’d go back to the beach any day.

With my aunt, on the boat ride back.

Our hotel was really nice too. It had a killer view of the sea. Sunrise and sunset, it was beautiful.

Evidently, we had to go home. The plane ride back was okay, though I wished a lot that I was not in it. I wanted to stay away from the start of the semester as much as possible and stay in Palawan.

My second semester starts one day from now. I had a great sem break. I do not want to think about school, but at the same time I kind of do. For now, I guess I’ll just be watching a bunch of TV shows:
